Most roll cage buyers have been interested in driving the trails, going camping, or even rock crawling. Now there is a new breed of Scout owner that is interested in restoring their Scout while upgrading comfort, safety, and drive ability. For the Scout owner that wants to add a roll cage without the intrusion of the tube legs we have created the Flat Plate Roll Cage Leg. The Flat Plate Roll Cage Leg is designed to give the driver and passenger of the Scout II as much room as possible up front with almost no intrusion from the cage. Picture this: Your Scout II roll cage is the same except the bars that run above the driver’s and passenger’s side stop at the dashboard and weld to a flat 5/16″ plate leg that follows the contour of the body to the floor and bolts down to the floor board. If you are driving your Scout II to work or school every day, this is the option for you! No more gingerly getting in and out of your Scout II because you do not want to bang up your knees and shins. Jump in and out several times per day almost like a normal vehicle. The flat plate is 5/16″ thick steel so it is durable and adds nearly the same stability and rigidness to the Scout II as the standard tube steel.
