Each box is run in Load Tested in a bench test fixture to assure you are receiving the best Remanufactured available. NOTE: You must send in your core prior to us shipping your steering box out!! The D and C Extreme re-manufactured Scout II steering gear box fits all 1972-1980 Scout II , Terra and Traveler’s. We start with OEM Scout II boxes that are disassembled, inspected, and then rebuilt with all new seals and bearings. In addition, any worn parts are replaced. IH Scout II’s manufactured from 1971 through mid 1977 came from the factory with a 13/16″ input. From mid 1977 through 1980, the factory steering box had a 3/4″ input. We also offer the 1980 only Scout II box with o-ring fittings. Since the steering box on your Scout II may have been changed at some point, we ask that you check the input size prior to ordering. To determine which input size you have the steering box must be removed. Once the steering box is removed use a 11/16″ 12 point box end wrench and try to slip it over the input shaft of the steering box. If the wrench slips over the input shaft then you have a 3/4″ input. If it will NOT go over the input shaft then you have a 13/16″ input. Our Steering Boxes Come with a 12 Month Warranty!
